The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for undertaking all activities and measures necessary to minimize and control the effects of disaster, both natural and technological, as well as the effects of military or terrorist attacks by enemies of the United States.
The Goals and Objectives of the Department are:
To review and update planning documents, an on-going process
To develop new plans or annexes to existing plans, to respond to the threat of bioterrorism and weapons of mass destruction through an all-hazards approach
To conduct/coordinate fire investigations, plan reviews, and code compliance inspections as required with personnel of the 2 service districts
Responds to threats of bioterrorism and weapons of mass destruction through an all-hazards approach.
Ensure there is sufficient personal protective equipment (PPE) for all local first responders as required with personnel of the two service districts.
